writing your wo-manifesto

Have you ever worked in a company that places a significant amount of attention on their core values and mission? These organizations find a way to weave their values into everything they do: company culture, communication guidelines, and policies. Everyone within the company is on the same page, and knows exactly what role they play in upholding the common values.

Do you have a personal mission statement for yourself and your life? Most of us don't-but there's a lot of power in this practice, and we can easily apply it outside of the corporate landscape. Having a clear and consistent mission statement will help you to stay focused, gain confidence in decision making, and make massive progress toward your stated goals.

Sounds pretty awesome, right? Clarity is everything when it comes to getting things done.

You might be thinking, "I don't know what my goals are!" Let me stop you right there, sister. Too many women (and men!) get stuck right in this space: they aren't 100% positive that they know what they want for the rest of their lives, so they completely cease taking action. Logically, that makes no sense. Nothing will change unless you start making decisions! But rest assured, no decision is ever the last one.

You always have an opportunity to self-correct down the road. If you spend years working on one dream, and decide to pursue another, you're still taking those years of experience with you.

No experiences go to waste.

So get liberated, and write your wo-manifesto. Write about who you are, what you believe, what you stand and fight for, and what you don't accept. Try to put just three goals down on paper. Then, when faced with difficult situations, emotions, or bad news, come back to your wo-manifesto. What decision is most in line with your desires? That's the path to take. It's as simple as that.

I want to read your wo-manifesto! Share it in the comments below.
